Three Georgian Policemen Are Wounded in Georgian-Ossetian Conflict Zone

Tbilisi. 07.08.06. Media news. Today in Goergian-Ossetian conflict zone village of Avnevi three Georgian policemen have been wounded at the block post. The fire was opened from automatic machines. As eyewitnesses say, they were aggressors.

Gela Zoziashvili, Deputy Governor of Shida Kartli declares on the incident, that stark provocations from Ossetain side are beyond limits. “Approximately a week ago Ossatians fired a Georgian policeman. The Georgians did not take that provocation. But today their behavior proves their attempt to tense and aggravate the situation,”- pointed out zoziashvili.

All three policemen-Beso Chavchavadze, Dato kobaladze, Zura Durglishvili were taken to KAreli Regional hospital. Chavchavadze and Kobaladze’s health conditions are poor, while Durglishvili was wounded in his legs.
