Lawyer of Tchabuka Tchabukadze was not permitted to see him

The employees of regional headquarters of MIA in Kakheti arrested and beat 30-year-old Tchabuka Tchabukadze at night on May 21. The incident took place in village Vejini of Gurjaani municipality while the young man was standing in front of his own house with his friends. As a result of beating, Tchabukadze has multiple physical injuries. He is placed in the multi-profile medical center “Geo Hospitals” in Gurjaani.
Ruisi Population protests closed roads because of constructing autobahn

Confrontation between the Kareli Municipality governor and some of the locals from Ruisi continues. On May 22 the locals gathered near the Ruisi’s section of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway, protested abolition of access roads to their plots as a result of construction of autobahn.

It has been long time since Sartichala village in Gardabani district has had malfunctioning sewerage system. Sewage that comes out from residential houses leaks into the pasture territory . The locals find it difficult to relocate in their own plots. Unpleasant smell disturbs them and they think the unsanitary in the area may cause many diseases.
Karajala residents report 5 more women plan to move to Syria

According to the media, two women from Karajala village of Telavi municipality, Irada Gharibova and Anna Suleimanova left for Syria via Turkey. Some locals confirm this information, but some people say they went to Turkey for trading. Husbands of Irada Gharibova and Anna Suleimanova are looking for them. Afterwards, information was spread in Karajala village of Telavi municipality that five more women from the village plan to move to Syria.

“Problems of Muslims in Georgia” _ Screening of the Documentary Movie

Human Rights Center showed the documentary called “Problems of Muslims in Georgia” on May 15. Facts of intolerance that happened in the villages Tchela, Plate and Mokhe were shown in this documentary. NGOs, representatives of diplomatic corpus accredited in Georgia and representatives of religious minorities attended the screening. After that they had a discussion about the issues of religious minorities.
Evicted from Melikishvili str. # 47 live in the street

Bullying in schools _ why school didn’t protect 11 year old child from suicide

The well-known fact of the violence among children, so called bullying, took place on March 27, 2015, at the public school in village Old Anagi in Sighnagi district. Schoolmates of the fifth grade student told him that he was adopted. After the physical confrontation 11 year old boy committed a suicide at home. According to the school director Nino Ghvedashvili, she knew that there was a conflict between the students, but because no physical and verbal confrontation had taken place in the territory of school, the school administration abstained from interfering in this conflict.

The children in conflict with the law who live and work in streets

Part of the convicts of Avtchala Juvenile Prison serves sentence for the second or for the third time. The State still has lot more to do for the prevention of juvenile delinquency. The most difficult is to work with the children who had already been sentenced once. Besides, the children living and working in streets, who often commit crimes, fall into the so called risk group. Humanrights.ge became interested in the issues of these children.
